HONORING HAWAII'S ATHLETES

The Honolulu Quarterback Club annually celebrates Hawaii's top athletes and their supporters.

Awards Include:

Sportspersons of the Month (Male and Female)
Sportspersons of the Year (Male and Female)
Prep athlete of the Year (Male and Female)
Adult Athlete of the Year (Male and Female)
Senior Athlete of the Year (Male and Female)

Neal Shaw Blaisdell Award
The Neal Blaisdell Award was established in 1975, and is awarded to any professional or non professional athlete or other person in the field of sports, who, throughout the years, has devoted his or her exemplary efforts to bring great recognition to sports in Hawai'i.

George Archer Coach of the Year Award
Established in 1999, in memory of long-time Quarterback Club member and enthusiastic football fan George Archer, and awarded to any athletic coach, professional or non-professional, who developed a team or player to achieve outstanding results. Previous winners are eligible.

Paul Durham Award
Established in 1975 and awarded to any professional or non professional, athlete or other person in the field of sports, who throughout the years has devoted his or her exemplary efforts to bring great recognition to sports in Hawai’i.

Earl Galdeira Award
This award is named after long-time football officiating great Earl Galdeira, the only Hawaii official to be enshrined in the National Football Foundation College Hall of Fame. The award is underwritten by a grant from Mrs. Fran Galdeira and Galdeira family.

Les Keiter Award
This Hawaii sports media were instrumental in helping establish the Honolulu Quarterback Club, and were equally instrumental in establishing the Sports Person of the Month award program. Yet until now, the media has not been singly recognized for its own contributions to sports in the islands. This award is designed to provide this recognition.

Scotty Schuman Award
One of the earliest awards created by the Honolulu Quarterback Club to recognize contribution or participation by a non-professional to sports in Hawaii during the year for which the award is given. The award was established in 1959; the plaque is underwritten by long-time club member Chris Faria.

Joe Reynolds Award
This award is given to any member of the Honolulu Quarterback Club who has, as a volunteer contributor of any kind, exemplified a high achievement standard for the Club of sports enthusiasts in Hawai'i.
