2008 Scotty Schuman Award

Timo Donahue - Honolulu Police Department Officer - coached Wipe Little League team to world championship. Timo’s team played outstanding defense, with solid fielding and very few errors. The team’s ability and sportsmanship and especially its “team” spirit and togetherness impressed most other coaches and sports writers at the tournament. Their dramatic come-from-behind victory of Lake Charles, Louisiana, set the stage for the title match with Mexico.

2007 Scotty Schuman Award

Chris McLachlin - Former player and coach at Punahou and Stanford University, recognized for his continuing service to sports as a commentator and analyst for KFVE, the Home Team, in its coverage of University of Hawaii volleyball. He coached the Buffanblu to 11 state titles in boys volleyball and three in boys basketball.
